Meet Emil — Watchmaker in Mississauga

I am the watchmaker behind The Good Old Times. I work from a bench in Mississauga, (Toronto/GTA). I service mechanical pocket watches and wristwatches — clean, oil, adjust, repair, and recondition — and I also do quartz work: batteries, cleaning, and repair. Clocks are accepted when the job fits the bench.

I buy and service pieces myself before they go on the site. If you already own a watch, I will look at photos first. Estimates are free. If you decide not to proceed, there is no charge. Local drop-off and pick-up are by appointment only. I also take work by mail from across Canada. Completed repairs carry a 3-month warranty.

I started in horology through the NAWCC Toronto Chapter 33 and have been at this bench for more than 15 years. The Videos page is the work, not a brochure.

My experience includes directly working with other established watchmakers, training newcomers to the watchmaking field, holding watch club presentations on pocket watch history and on American pocket watch basics, and holding demos and workshops on American pocket watch disassembly and assembly.
